Biography

Prof. Christian Große leads the Non-destructive Testing Laboratory at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on non-destructive testing with applications in civil and mechanical engineering, quality assurance, structural health monitoring, and materials such as concrete and fiber composites. He is actively involved in projects related to the cultural heritage of technical objects and has collaborated with various institutions, including Cairo University for the ScanPyramids project in 2020. Additionally, he works with the National University of Oil and Gas in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, applying non-destructive testing methods to assess structural safety in war-damaged buildings. Prof. Große holds a doctorate in geophysics from the University of Stuttgart and has held positions at renowned institutions including the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the board management of the Center Building Materials and has received numerous awards, recognizing his contributions to education and research in the field.
