Biography

Christian Jantzen has been a university researcher for 30 years. His research themes include Cultural Analysis with a special focus on the concept of culture, Market Communication with a focus on advertising, Consumer Behavior, Experience Design with emphasis on the concept of experience, and Aesthetic Theory with a focus on aesthetic experiences informed by text analysis and semiotics. Over the years, he has contributed to sociology, psychology, and philosophy. He is currently leading the research group ET (Experiences & Aesthetics). Jantzen primarily teaches in the bachelor's program in Communication & Digital Media and the master's degree programs in Communication and Experience Design. With over 35 years of experience, he has served as a course instructor, module supervisor, project advisor, and thesis supervisor, guiding over 100 thesis students and supervising 8 PhD candidates, of which 6 have successfully defended their dissertations. His administrative roles have included heading the PhD program and the Department of Communication & Psychology.
