Biography

Christian Weikop is a Professor specializing in Modern Contemporary German Art at the Edinburgh College of Art, where he has published extensively in his field. He held the position of Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Edinburgh from 2012 to 2017 and studied Art History and Theory at the University of Essex, completing his PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2005. Christian has also supervised PhD students and contributed lectures and catalogues for prominent exhibitions, making a significant impact in the study of German Expressionist artists.
