Dr. Christina Cherny

Biography

Christina Cherny, OD, FAAO, Dip ABO, is an Assistant Clinical Optometrist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specializing in cornea, specialty contact lenses, primary eye care, and myopia management. Dr. Cherny has previously served as an Instructor in Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Health Society from Cornell University. Dr. Cherny obtained her optometry degree along with a micro-credential in Advanced Cornea Specialty Contact Lenses from the State University of New York College of Optometry, and completed her residency in Cornea, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Ocular Disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Her clinical interests include novel applications of specialty contact lenses to enhance visual outcomes and ocular health. Dr. Cherny has authored peer-reviewed literature and has presented her research at various national and international conferences. She is board-certified by the American Board of Optometry and has achieved fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.
