Biography

Christina Christie is the Wasserman Dean and Professor of Education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), specifically in the Department of Education within the Division of Social Research Methodology. She is an internationally recognized scholar known for her work on evaluation methods that facilitate social betterment, focusing on advancing theories and methods that measure educational, social, and behavioral changes resulting from program innovations and reform efforts. Christina has held several leadership positions, including a five-year term as Chair of the Department of Education and a six-year tenure as Division Head of Social Research Methodology. She has received numerous accolades for her distinguished career, including the 2019 Distinguished Scholar Award from the American Evaluation Association and the 2018 Distinguished Scholar Award from the American Educational Research Association. Her research interests span program evaluation, educational leadership, and the development of standards for student testing.
