Biography

Christina Clark-Kazak is a Professor in the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa, with a focus on public international affairs. She has served as the President of the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration from July 2018 to July 2021 and was the Editor-in-Chief of 'Refuge: Canada's Journal on Refugees' from January 2012 to December 2018. Her extensive research covers areas such as age discrimination in migration, development policy, and the political participation of young people in migration contexts. Clark-Kazak has held a research associate position with the Centre for Refugee Studies at York University since January 2009 and has previously worked with York University and Saint Paul University. Her academic contributions include a number of publications on international migration and development, alongside receiving research funding from Canadian and British governments as well as non-governmental organizations. She supervises graduate students, with an expectation of continued involvement in transformative research methodologies in her field.
