Professor Christina Davidson is an interdisciplinary historian with specializations in Latin American and Caribbean history, African American Studies, and Religious Studies. Her forthcoming book, "Dominican Crossroads: H.C.C. Astwood Moral Politics Race-Making Age Emancipation" (2024), investigates the diplomatic and cultural relations between the Dominican Republic and the United States during the late nineteenth century. Her research has been published in notable journals, including the Journal of Africana Religions and the Journal of African American History. Davidson received her Ph.D. in History from Duke University in 2017 and holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Yale University. Additionally, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the John C. Danforth Center at Washington University in St. Louis and the Charles Warren Center at Harvard University.
