Dr. Christina Harnett

Biography

Christina Harnett is an Associate Professor and the Department Chair of Counseling at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She is a licensed psychologist with a focus on clinical work within various professional populations, including military members, law enforcement professionals, and educators. Harnett teaches courses in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and the Master of Education in Health Professions Program. She has developed online courses and specializes in training that emphasizes stress management and resilience development. Harnett has extensive clinical experience in behavioral medicine, having worked as a director in hospital settings and coordinated an APA-accredited Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship Program. She has served as a psychologist in university counseling centers and in private practice. Harnett is trained in hypnosis and relaxation strategies to promote health and wellness, and has provided expert testimony at state and federal court levels.
