Biography

Christina Hioureas is a Visiting Professor at UCLA School of Law, where she teaches Critical Issues in Human Rights Law. She is also a partner and Global Co-Chair of Foley Hoag LLP’s International Litigation & Arbitration Department and chairs the firm’s United Nations Practice Group. Hioureas represents states and state-owned entities in international disputes concerning public international law in various jurisdictions, including international courts and tribunals. In 2024, she was recognized as one of the “Top 10 Innovative Lawyers” by Financial and awarded the “Partners in Justice” award by the Center for Justice and Accountability for her work on transitional justice in Somalia, Cambodia, and Chile. She has been honored by Chambers & Partners for her expertise in Public International Law and Arbitration.
