Biography

Christina S. Lee, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Boston University School of Social Work. She is the director of the Center for Innovation in Social Work and Health (CISWH) and an addiction faculty member at the Grayken Center for Addiction at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Lee's research bridges intervention science and addiction psychology, focusing on health inequities and the impacts of social environmental stressors, such as discrimination and stigma. She has become an influential voice in efforts to reduce risky health behaviors in diverse and understudied groups, viewing substance use as a social justice issue. Dr. Lee serves as principal investigator and co-principal investigator for NIAAA-funded research on addiction treatment among diverse populations and trains faculty at the Center for Alcohol Addiction Studies at Brown University. She is also a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology and the NIAAA journal Alcohol Research: Current Reviews, and a fellow of the American Psychological Association.
