Biography

Christina Mele, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She oversees the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program and is known for her work in Acceptance Mindfulness-based Therapies. Dr. Mele earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System and a postdoctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Mele has extensive training in evidence-based treatments, including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. With a commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations, she has worked with children, adolescents, veterans, and their families. In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Mele is dedicated to training and supervision, serving as the Postdoctoral Fellowship Coordinator and primary supervisor for clinical psychology postdoctoral fellows in the Adult PHP, while also co-leading ACT seminars for psychiatry residents.
