Biography

Christina Reith is an Associate Professor in the Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford. She is an Honorary Consultant Physician in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her research focuses on the reliable assessment of drug safety through large-scale randomized data. Christina has been actively involved in the supervision and training of students and has taught on MSc courses. She has held positions as a GMC-approved Educational Supervisor in Pharmaceutical Medicine specialty training and acted as a college adviser at Green Templeton College. Since joining the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in 2004, she has played a key role in large-scale clinical trials, including the Study of Heart and Renal Protection (SHARP), which recruited over 9,000 patients across 18 countries. Christina is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. She completed her medical training at the University of Glasgow, where she earned both her undergraduate medical degree and a class honors degree in medical biochemistry.
