Biography

Christina B. Whitman is a Francis Allen Collegiate Professor Emerita of Law at the University of Michigan Law School. She has a distinguished career in legal scholarship with research interests that include federal courts, constitutional litigation, torts, and feminist jurisprudence, with a particular focus on questions of personal and institutional responsibility. From 2009 to 2014, she served as U-M’s vice provost for academic faculty affairs. In her role, she was responsible for overseeing faculty appointments and academic policies. Hart Wright Award, showcasing her dedication to education and mentorship in the legal field.
