Biography

Christine Bae is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington, Seattle. She holds a Ph.D. in Urban Regional Planning from the University of Southern California. Her research interests focus on transportation, environmental equity, land use, and growth management, addressing issues related to urban sprawl and regeneration. She has co-authored articles exploring pedestrian exposure to PM2.5 in Seattle's International District. Additionally, she teaches a course on Mega City Planning and leads student groups on international studies in Seoul, South Korea during the spring quarter. Currently, she serves as the West Representative on the Board of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning and as a Board Member of the Western Regional Science Association. Christine is also a recipient of the ongoing Sea Grant for studying the economic and environmental impacts of moorage marinas on the West Coast.
