Biography

Christine M. Brent, MD, FAEMS, FACEP is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame and completed her Medical School training and Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Brent furthered her expertise by completing a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services at the University of Cincinnati, focusing on critical care air transport. She is double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. Since joining the University of Michigan Emergency Medicine Faculty in September 2017, she has played a pivotal role as Assistant Medical Director of Survival Flight and in developing the EMS Fellowship program. Dr. Brent actively participates in local, regional, and state EMS committees and is a gubernatorial-appointed member of the State of Michigan EMS Coordinating Committee. Her research interests include the utilization of drones in prehospital medicine and she frequently contributes to scholarly publications within the field. Outside her professional life, she resides in Ann Arbor with her husband and their young children, both of whom are also avid pilots.
