Dr. Christine Brown

Biography

Christine Brown is a professor and head of the Department of Banking and Finance at Monash University. She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne before joining Monash University in 2010. Previously, she held various positions at the University of Melbourne and has held visiting research positions at the University of Strathclyde, Queen's University Belfast, and Manchester University. Christine has served on the editorial boards of international journals such as the Global Finance Journal and has consulted for the Australian Treasury Board on taxation security and design issues. She has extensive experience in executive education, having taught for ten years in the joint ANZ/University of Melbourne Understanding Treasury Management program. Her main research interests focus on corporate finance, derivative pricing, infrastructure financing, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and the management of financial institutions. Over the past five years, she has engaged in significant research collaborations, exploring topics such as capital management and infrastructure financing through various projects.
