Biography

Christine Chan is a Professor of International Business in the School of Management and Governance at UNSW Business School. Prior to joining UNSW, she was associated with the University of Hong Kong, where she served as Associate Dean for Outreach and Global Engagement from 2019 to 2024 and Assistant Dean for EMBA and MBA programs from 2013 to 2018. Her research primarily focuses on global strategic management and the performance of multinational enterprises in emerging economies. Her key research topics include globalization, location choice, foreign entry mode, strategic alliances, international joint ventures, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, cross-cultural management, and international management. Christine has published extensively in top international academic journals, such as the Journal of International Business Studies and the Strategic Management Journal. She teaches various international business courses at undergraduate, Master of Commerce, MBA, and EMBA levels, in addition to conducting executive education programs.
