Biography

Professor Christine Currie received her PhD in Operational Research from the University of Southampton in 2004. She is a Professor of Operational Research in the Mathematical Sciences and holds a fellowship at the Alan Turing Institute. Her research primarily focuses on decision-making under uncertainty and optimal pricing, for which she has used simulation modeling in various funded projects, most notably with support from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Professor Currie has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Simulation and has been actively involved in the Operational Research Society's Research Panel, co-chairing the national Operational Research conference OR63 in 2021. Throughout her academic career, she has successfully collaborated with numerous external organizations and enjoys supervising undergraduate and MSc projects that involve external partners.
