Dr. Christine De Belen Wilson

Biography

Christine de Belen-Wilson is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. She has over 20 years of experience in various nursing roles as a clinician, educator, and administrator, with a focus on preventive care and chronic disease management among high-risk, underserved populations. Her nurse practitioner practice began in a county clinic and mobile clinic, providing care to migrant farm workers and other vulnerable groups. Christine has played an integral role in developing programs like Hepatitis C management and the 'Reach Read' initiative to enhance early literacy during well-child exams. In addition to her clinical work, she has taught as an adjunct clinical instructor at Samuel Merritt University and served as a clinical program manager focusing on population health within accountable care organizations. Her volunteer experience includes working as a registered nurse with the U.S. Peace Corps in Jamaica, where she contributed to public health efforts, including vaccination campaigns and the launch of an HIV/AIDS community center.
