Biography

Christine Hendon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia Engineering. Her research focuses on developing high-resolution optical imaging spectroscopy instruments in conjunction with real-time image analysis for the diagnosis and therapy monitoring of heart diseases. Hendon completed her B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2007 and 2010, respectively. In 2012, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School before joining Columbia. She is also an affiliated member at the Data Science Institute within Columbia University.
