Dr. Christine Littleton

Biography

Christine Littleton is a professor emerita of law and women's studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. She began her teaching career at UCLA in 1983 and specializes in feminist legal theory. Throughout her tenure, Professor Littleton has taught courses on employment discrimination, critical race theory, disability rights, and sexual orientation. She has played a significant role in developing policies for the School of Law regarding accommodations for students with disabilities and has participated in various faculty advisory committees, including those for UCLA's Women's Law Journal and Critical Race Studies program. Active in community service, she has co-founded the California Women's Law Center and volunteered as an attorney for nonprofit civil rights organizations. Furthermore, she has overseen investigations in the City of Los Angeles related to discrimination based on race, sex, religion, and disability. Professor Littleton has conducted trainings on sexual harassment and served as a consultant for settlements involving the U.S. Department of Justice. She earned her Bachelor's degree with highest distinction in Secondary Education and Communications from Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. from Harvard University.
