Biography

Christine Moorman is the T. Austin Finch, Sr. Professor of Business Administration at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Her research examines the nature of effects learning and knowledge utilization in marketing by consumers, managers, organizations, and financial markets. Professor Moorman's work has been published in prestigious journals including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, and the Journal of Consumer Research, and has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and Marketing Science Institute. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing from 2018-2022 and has received multiple awards for her contributions to the field, including the 2018 AMA-Irwin-McGraw-Hill Distinguished Marketing Educator Award and the 2022 AMA Foundation William L. Wilkie “Marketing World” Award. Professor Moorman is also the founder and managing director of the CMO Survey, which gathers insights from marketing leaders on market predictions and marketing excellence. She has authored key publications, including 'Strategy for Profiting from Customer Value,' and 'Strategic Market Management.' In addition to her research, she emphasizes the importance of customer focus in her teaching and has received numerous teaching awards, including the 2016 Elective Teaching Award from Fuqua.
