Biography

Christine Nunes is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. She specializes in pediatric psychology, focusing on the treatment of children and families dealing with medical issues and psychological concerns. Dr. Nunes earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College in 2016. She completed her internship in Child Clinical Psychology at Community Healthlink – Youth & Family Services and pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the Institute of Living, Connecticut Children's. Currently, Dr. Nunes works in the Pediatric Endocrinology clinic, assisting children and adolescents with diabetes, as well as in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Service. She is actively involved in the Fostering Health program, providing psychological evaluations and interventions during primary care visits, and she conducts Bariatric Surgery Evaluations for the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery program. Dr. Nunes also participates in training interns, residents, and fellows in psychology and psychiatry.
