Biography

Christine White completed her Bachelor of Science in 1993 and a Master of Science in 1995, specializing in cellular molecular pathology, at the University of Toronto. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree from Queen's University in 1999 and pursued her training in Internal Medicine with a focus on Nephrology at the University of Ottawa. Since starting her faculty appointment at Queen's University in 2005 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, she has advanced to the position of Professor. Dr. White is a recipient of the SEAMO Clinician Scientist Development Program Award. Her research interests center on the measurement and estimation of kidney function, utilizing both conventional and novel markers. She established the GFR measurement program at Queen's and received a CIHR operating grant to develop new and accurate GFR measurement protocols. Currently, she serves as the Primary Lead for the Ontario Renal Network-Ontario Health Study Scientific Committee and directs the Chronic Kidney Disease Program at Kingston General Hospital.
