Dr. Christoph Kletzer

Biography

Professor Christoph Kletzer joined King's College London in 2007. He previously served as a Lecturer at the University of Cambridge from 2005 to 2007 and at the University of Durham from 2004 to 2005. Kletzer is the Director of Studies in Philosophy at Queens College, Cambridge, where he has lectured for two years in the Philosophy Department of the University of Vienna. He holds a Master’s degree in Law and a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Vienna, as well as an LLM and PhD from the University of Cambridge. His research areas include Legal, Moral, and Political Philosophy, with a primary focus on German Idealism, particularly the works of Fichte and Hegel, and legal-political thought during the Weimar Republic, specifically focusing on figures like Kelsen and Schmitt. In recent years, his research interests have expanded to the intersection of law and technology, with a particular emphasis on cryptography and decentralization technologies. He teaches courses in Jurisprudence, Law and Social Theory, and focuses on legal intricacies within technology environments.
