Christoph Neuberger teaches at the Free University of Berlin in the field of journalism and communications science. He is the director, scientific executive, and principal investigator of the research group on the dynamics of digital news transmission at the Weizenbaum Institute. After studying journalism and completing his doctorate and habilitation in communication science at the Catholic University of Eichstätt, he held a professorship for journalism at the University of Leipzig (2001/2002). He is a full member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the German Academy of Engineering Sciences (acatech). His work focuses on the digital transformation of media, public spheres, and journalism.
