Biography

After over ten years of experience in research, management, audit, and consulting on themes related to ecodesign, corporate social responsibility, and foresight projects, Christophe Abrassart became an assistant professor at the École de design of the Université de Montréal in late 2011. Since June 2018, he has been an associate professor and co-directs the Lab Ville Prospective, the DESS in strategic ecodesign, and co-constructs the Declaration of Montreal on Responsible Artificial Intelligence. His research expertise includes holistic urban design approaches for sustainable cities, ethical implications of artificial intelligence in urban contexts, sustainable design systems, and circular economy practices. Abrassart has collaborated with various academic institutions on projects that bridge design with public policy, social innovation, and environmental stewardship. His academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Management Sciences from Mines ParisTech and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Université Paris 1 - Sorbonne. With multidisciplinary insights derived from philosophy, economics, and design, Abrassart advocates for transformative solutions to current environmental and societal challenges.
