Christophe Gaudin earned his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nantes in 1992 and subsequently gained four years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering consulting. He returned to academia to complete a Master of Science at the University of Nantes in 1998 and a Master of Engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes in 1999, where he focused on centrifuged sand sample testing. Gaudin has played prominent roles in international scientific communities and leads the UWA Oceans Institute, overseeing a research group engaged in marine engineering and science. He is actively involved in education, having supervised numerous PhD students and engaged in various research projects related to ocean energy, soil interaction, and physical modeling.
