Christophe Jaffrelot is the Avantha Chair Professor of Indian Politics and Sociology at King's College London and the Research Lead for Global Institutes. He teaches South Asian politics and history at Sciences Po, Paris, and was a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He served as the Director of the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches Internationales (CERI) from 2000 to 2008. Currently, he is involved in multiple collective research projects focusing on various aspects of South Asian politics. Jaffrelot is also active in media, providing commentary on Indian and Pakistani politics in France, the UK, and North America, and writes a regular column for the Indian Express.
