An in-demand collaborator, Christopher Bagan is a celebrated virtuoso chamber musician, basso continuo specialist, and conductor. The 2024/2025 season sees him perform alongside the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Chamber Choir, Peterborough Singers, and Amadeus Choir, as well as conduct Opera Atelier’s upcoming production of Handel’s Acis and Galatea, leading the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. Recent engagements as a harpsichordist and continuo player include performances of Bach’s B Minor Mass with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, a series of Bach cantatas at the Toronto Bach Festival, and concerts with various ensembles such as Elora Festival, Symphony Nova Scotia, and Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2021, he served as Assistant Music Director at Opera Atelier, making his mainstage conducting debut the following year with Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. He has performed with some of the world's leading baroque singers and instrumentalists and has toured globally, including performances at Chicago’s Harris Theatre and the Royal Opera in Versailles.
