Biography

Christopher Bail is a Professor of Sociology, Computer Science, and Political Science at Duke University, where he also leads the Trinity Social AI Initiative. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, earned in 2011. His research explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and human behavior across various platforms, focusing on how AI influences political polarization and social discourse. He is a Guggenheim Fellow and a Carnegie Fellow, with a notable publication record, including the widely acclaimed book "Breaking the Prism," which examines the role of social media in public opinion and political engagement. Bail's work has gained significant media attention, being featured in outlets like The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Science Magazine.
