Biography

Christopher L. Brace is a Professor in the Imaging Sciences Group at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he has been a faculty member since 2009. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2001 and furthered his education with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Prior to his current role, he served as an Assistant Scientist from 2005 to 2009. Professor Brace's research focuses on the application of electromagnetics in medicine, image-guided interventional oncology, and thermal therapies including radiofrequency and microwave ablation. He employs multiphysics simulation in his work to advance medical imaging techniques and has authored numerous papers, conference presentations, book chapters, and patents, with his research being supported by federal and institutional grants.
