Biography

For over two decades, Christopher Calott, AIA has been committed to building communities and delivering projects that make cities beautiful and inclusive. As an award-winning architect and urban designer, he uniquely integrates real estate development with academic practice. Calott is the inaugural Lalanne Chair in Real Estate Development, Architecture & Urbanism at UC Berkeley and serves as Vice Chair of the Master of Urban Design Program. His ongoing professional work includes large-scale redevelopment projects in major cities, emphasizing the revitalization of disinvested communities. A former founding principal of CALOTT + GIFFORD Architecture, he has worked extensively on award-winning projects and is a recognized leader in urban design.
