Biography

Dr. Christopher J. Chin is an Assistant Professor and Program Director in the Division of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Dalhousie University. His expertise lies in rhinology and the treatment of sinonasal diseases. Dr. Chin completed his medical degree at Western University, where he also underwent residency training. He pursued a fellowship in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at the University of Toronto under renowned surgeon Dr. Ian Witterick. His leadership roles include serving as the Residency Program Director for Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery and previously as Division Head at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Dr. Chin is actively involved in medical education, contributing to innovative teaching methods such as boot camps for residents. His research includes investigations into chronic rhinosinusitis, the efficacy of topical tranexamic acid for treating epistaxis, and the development of simulation-based training tools. He has published numerous articles in reputable journals, emphasizing both clinical practices and medical education.
