Biography

Christopher Hazlehurst joined King’s Business School in 2021 as a Teaching Fellow in Innovation Management and Strategy, becoming a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in 2022. His research interests include the adoption and use of digital communication technologies, strategic management, and the internationalization of businesses. Christopher explores how modern technologies change the way firms engage in strategic planning and impact business performance. He is currently an investigator in an ESRC-funded project focusing on how automation technologies affect productivity, employment, and skills in knowledge-intensive business services. Christopher completed his PhD in Strategic Management at King’s in 2022 and teaches Strategic Management in undergraduate programs. His teaching extends to leadership roles in the Business Project module for both Business Management and International Management BSc. Christopher has industry experience with notable companies, including House of Fraser and van Laack. He has also worked as an Associate Lecturer and Research Methods MA Dissertation Supervisor at the London College of Fashion. Additionally, he has achieved an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy and obtained a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute.
