Biography

Christopher S. Hill received his Ph.D. from Harvard in 1973. He has taught at the University of Pittsburgh, Case Western Reserve University, the University of Michigan, the University of Arkansas, and MIT. His main fields of specialization are philosophy of mind and philosophy of language, and he has written numerous articles and five books on these topics. Hill is a fellow of the National Humanities Center and has held various fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities. He served as the editor of the journal *Philosophical Topics* from 1982 to 2002. His current research interests focus on concepts, consciousness, and perception, along with metaphysics and epistemology.
