My research group studies a range of topics related to photosynthesis, including the biochemical mechanisms underlying photosynthetic electron transfer and the exploitation of renewable energy production. We investigate biophotovoltaics, which utilize photosynthetic microorganisms to generate small amounts of electrical power. Our work incorporates electrochemistry as a tool to modulate gene expression in these microorganisms. Through our research, we aim to contribute to the understanding of photosynthesis and its applications in sustainable energy.
