Biography

CDR Christopher Kennedy is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a surgeon at the University of Ottawa's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in sciences at the University of New Brunswick before attending medical school at Dalhousie University. After completing his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, he served as a Medical Officer at CFB Gagetown for four years. Following this, he accepted a position in the CAF Postgraduate Training Program and began a five-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Dalhousie University. He further enhanced his qualifications with fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, and Foot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Throughout his career, CDR Kennedy has been deployed to various locations including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Africa, focusing on trauma surgery in austere environments.
