Christopher Long studied at universities in Vienna, Graz, and Munich, completing his Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin in 1993. He is the recipient of numerous awards including a Fulbright grant and a German Academic Exchange Grant, as well as the Lathrop Prize. Between 1993 and 1995, he taught at the Central European University in Prague before joining the School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin in 1995. He has completed a book on Viennese architect Josef Frank and is currently working on a monograph about Austro-American designer Paul T. Frankl. His research focuses on Modern Architecture, the history and theory of Central European architecture, as well as cultural history within the Arts and Humanities.
