Biography

Christopher Maloney is a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester School of Architecture, where he also serves as the Programme Leader for the Master of Architecture (MArch). With over a decade of teaching experience, he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and actively involved with the Association of Architecture Educators (AAE) steering committee. His research interests focus on design pedagogy, and he has published work and delivered conference talks on this subject. In addition to his academic credentials, which include a BA(Hons), BArch, MA, PGCert, Dip Ed, ARB, and FHEA, Christopher has 10 years of professional experience as a qualified architect and self-employed designer. He has contributed significantly to the field of architecture by discussing the evolving role of designers in the Information Age at national conferences. Furthermore, he was the lead organiser of the 30th European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA) and served as the National Contact network for five years. Christopher founded the Architecture Student Network (ASN) and is a regular speaker at international conferences, sharing insights from his diverse experiences in architecture education and practice.
