Christopher Moore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design and Computation Arts at Concordia University. He received his MFA in Communication Design from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1999 before joining Simon Fraser University’s School of Interactive Arts and Technology. From 2004 to 2008, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of New Media at the University of Lethbridge, where he held the title of Acting Chair in his final year. Moore's multidisciplinary research and teaching interests encompass vernacular design, popular culture, experimental typography, and the use of humor as a form of social resistance. He has participated in artist residencies across North America, and his recent works in sculpture and media-based installations have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions both in Canada and internationally. Currently, his project 'Speculative Play' focuses on designing ways to present and re-imagine future scenarios, reflecting his diverse background and training in the arts. Moore teaches a wide range of interdisciplinary areas within the Department’s programs.
