Dr. Christopher Moore

Biography

Christopher L. Moore, MD, is a professor of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine, focusing on optimizing diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasound and computed tomography (CT), in emergency settings. He established and directed the Emergency Ultrasound Section and the Yale Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. His research interests include diagnostic testing in emergency departments, emphasizing minimizing unnecessary CT scans and developing artificial intelligence solutions to enhance point-of-care ultrasound applications for COVID-19 patients. Dr. Moore has received funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to further his research initiatives. He is also an educator overseeing point-of-care ultrasound training for medical students, residents, and fellows, and has directed national continuing medical education (CME) conferences. His contributions to the field have been recognized through various awards, including the Alvin Feinstein Award for Clinical Teaching from Yale School of Medicine.
