Biography

Christopher J. Nash, MD, EdM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke University, where he also serves as the Director of Simulation for the Duke Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was recognized with the Resident Teacher Year Award in his final year. Dr. Nash's academic interests focus on program evaluation, digital scholarship, and simulation-enhanced education. He is involved in developing training programs for clinicians, with a specific emphasis on telehealth and equitable access, supported by grant funding from the Association of American Medical Colleges. At Duke, Dr. Nash plays an active leadership role in the Academic Life in Emergency Medicine (ALiEM) team, serving as the Associate Director for Growth of the main site and Chief Technology Officer of ALiEM University (ALiEMU). He is enthusiastic about being part of the Department of Emergency Medicine and looks forward to a long and impactful career in Durham.
