Biography

Dr. Christopher Parker completed concurrent medical training and holds a graduate degree in physiology from Queen’s University Kingston. He has completed fellowships in Internal Medicine, Respirology, and Critical Care Medicine. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor and Interim Division Chair of Respirology at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Parker is also a staff respirologist and intensivist, and the Medical Director of Special Services, particularly in Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID). His clinical interests include trauma resuscitation, lung cancer, clinical physiology, and end-of-life care. He is the site lead for the Regional Lung Diagnostic Assessment Program (LDAP) Outreach Clinic and is recognized as a respected educator, having held various leadership positions in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Dr. Parker has been privileged to have ongoing opportunities to contribute to the education of healthcare providers.
