Biography

Chris is a development economist specializing in migration and development. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham, during which he was a Royal Economic Society Junior Fellow. Prior to joining the University of Western Australia (UWA), Chris worked as a Research Officer at the International Migration Institute, University of Oxford, and held the William Golding Fellowship at Brasenose College. His previous experience includes roles as an Economist at HM Treasury and a Research Officer at the Development Research Centre on Migration, Globalisation and Poverty at the University of Sussex, as well as serving as an Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Sierra Leone. He has received multiple research grants and awards for his work, highlighting his contributions to the field of migration economics.
