Chris Rea (pronounced "ray") is an assistant professor in sociology and international public affairs at Brown University. His research focuses on how large-scale institutions and organizations shape environmental governance and politics, particularly in the context of climate change, species extinction, and environmental justice. Rea was formerly a member of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and the Department of Sociology (by courtesy) at Ohio State University, and he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES).
