Biography

Chris Stearns is a Lecturer at Penn Carey Law, where he applies his extensive legal expertise to educate future lawyers. He currently serves as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Aramark, where he leads legal efforts for the Facilities Management and Destinations Sports + Entertainment businesses across North America. Chris manages a variety of complex legal matters, including transactions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and compliance issues related to governmental investigations. He has previously supported Aramark’s Collegiate Hospitality, Student Nutrition, and Corrections businesses. Before joining Aramark in 2009, Chris was an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he advised public and private companies, as well as private equity firms, on mergers, acquisitions, and securities law issues. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and completed his undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, later serving as a Fulbright scholar at the University of York in England. Residing in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Chris is also a dedicated supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, having co-founded and chaired Aramark’s PRIDE employee resource group.
