Biography

Christopher Zappa is a Lamont Research Professor and Associate Director of Ocean Climate Physics at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia Climate School. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in 1992 and completed his Master of Science in Engineering and Ph.D. in Applied Ocean Physics at the University of Washington in 1994 and 1999, respectively. His work has significant implications for understanding climate processes and marine ecosystem health.
