Biography

Christopher Zorn is a Professor of Political Science at Pennsylvania State University, where he also holds an affiliate position in Law. He specializes in judicial politics and employs statistical methods within the social behavioral sciences. As the principal investigator on several National Science Foundation (NSF) funded projects, Zorn investigates the roles played by judges’ positions within the legal and judicial hierarchy in decision-making processes. Throughout his career, he has received multiple NSF grants and several fellowships and awards indicative of his research impact. Prior to his tenure at Penn State, he served as a Professor of Political Science at the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2007 and directed the Law and Social Science Program at NSF from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Zorn was the Winship Distinguished Research Professor in Political Science at Emory University, where he taught from 1996 to 2003.
