Dr. Christos Begkos

Biography

Christos Begkos is an Associate Professor in Management Accounting at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He completed his PhD studies at AMBS, and holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. Before his current role, he was a Research Associate on a patient-level costing project funded by the National Institute for Health Research. His interdisciplinary research agenda focuses on performance measurement, digital technologies, and strategy in healthcare settings. His research has been published in several esteemed journals such as Organization Studies and the British Accounting Review. He serves on the editorial boards of the British Accounting Review and several other journals. Additionally, Christos is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and teaches courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specializing in management accounting and research methods. He is also interested in supervising doctoral students and exploring various themes related to performance measurement and evaluative practices in digital environments.
